MSIA operates in 18 provinces, including Kabul, Balkh, Herat, Jawzjan, Faryab, Nangarhar, Helmand, Kandahar, Baghlan, Kunduz, Badakhshan, Takhar, Samangan, Kapisa, Farah, Ghor, Bamiyan, and Paktia, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan.

 

Job Description:

 

Key Responsibilities:

As a Health Educator Support Intern, you will support the Health Educator in delivering health education and assisting with the management of clients. Your role will include:

 

Assisting health educators and medical professionals in daily operations.

 

Supporting health educators in educating clients on various topics such as family planning, maternal and child health, nutrition, hygiene, adolescent health, and disease prevention.

 

Providing information to clients to help them make informed health decisions.

 

Using a variety of methods such as posters, talks, and demonstrations to encourage healthy behaviors.

 

Distributing and explaining health information materials like brochures and flipcharts.

 

Guiding clients to relevant service providers.

 

Recording and reporting health education sessions, attendance, and client concerns.

 

 

Job Requirements:

 

Qualifications:

 

Diploma in Midwifery, Public Health, or a related field.

 

Strong understanding of the healthcare system in Afghanistan.

 

Excellent communication skills in Dari and English (both written and oral).

 

Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

 

 

Experience:

 

No prior experience required.
