Job Overview:
CARE Afghanistan is hiring a TFU Nurse (Casual) to provide medical and nutritional care in the Therapeutic Feeding Unit (TFU) at a regional hospital in Ghazni. The nurse will treat severe acute malnutrition cases, carry out daily medical rounds, prescribe medications, and ensure high-quality healthcare services in compliance with national and international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Examine, diagnose, and treat patients in the TFU, focusing on severe acute malnutrition and clinical complications.
- Prescriptions: Administer medications, therapeutic foods, and provide specialized treatment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain clear, accurate patient records and complete daily TFU charts.
- Reporting: Participate in weekly and monthly data compilation and report TFU activities.
- Collaboration: Work with the TFU team, ensuring quality service delivery and timely referrals.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Nursing, pharmacy, or nutrition diploma from a recognized institute.
- Experience: At least 1-2 years’ experience in BPHS-related health facilities, especially in TFU.
- Languages: Fluency in Dari and Pashto (both written and spoken).
- Additional Skills: IPD SAM training, experience in TFU is a plus.
