Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Marketing & Branding Officer to help elevate the visibility and reputation of Teach For Afghanistan’s initiatives, particularly our online schooling and studio management programs. This role will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, managing our digital communications, and maintaining brand consistency across all platforms.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, branding, and digital communications, along with a deep passion for education and social impact.
Key Responsibilities
As the Marketing & Branding Officer, your role will include, but not be limited to:
- Marketing Strategy Development
- Design and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for TAO’s online schools and educational studio programs.
- Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth and increased engagement.
- Lead campaigns, including digital marketing, content marketing, and email marketing.
- Brand Management
- Maintain and strengthen the TAO brand across all communications and marketing materials.
- Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and marketing assets.
- Develop and implement comprehensive branding guidelines.
- Online School Management
- Design and implement marketing plans tailored to promote TAO’s online education programs.
- Record, edit, and upload online school sessions to the website and social media platforms.
- Work with the education team to highlight unique features of the online schools.
- Create and distribute engaging content to attract and retain students and families.
- Studio Management
- Oversee the promotion and management of TAO’s educational studios.
- Develop strategies to increase the visibility and utilization of studio resources.
- Coordinate with the technical team to ensure studios are fully equipped with up-to-date materials.
- Social Media Management
- Manage and grow TAO’s presence on social media platforms, ensuring consistent engagement.
- Develop social media campaigns aimed at increasing brand awareness and engagement.
- Analyze metrics and adjust strategies to optimize performance.
- Capture quality images and videos from TAO schools and offices for marketing purposes.
- Website Management
- Regularly update and maintain the TAO website, ensuring user-friendliness and up-to-date content.
- Implement SEO strategies to increase website traffic.
- Analyze website analytics to improve user experience and effectiveness.
- Content Creation
- Develop engaging content for various platforms, including blog posts, newsletters, articles, and press releases.
- Collaborate with the program and communications teams to produce multimedia content.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and media.
- Represent TAO at events and conferences to further the organization’s mission and initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphics Design, Web Management, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in marketing, branding, and digital communications, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Familiarity with educational programs, particularly online learning platforms.
- Proficiency in graphic design and multimedia software (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, and digital marketing best practices.
- Proven experience managing social media platforms and websites.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinker with a strategic approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Passion for education and commitment to the mission of Teach For Afghanistan.
